We’re excited to announce that construction is underway on the St. Jude Dream Home Showplace. This home, located at our Wander community in Saratoga Springs, is the first of its kind in Utah. With the help our incredible Trade Partners, we’ve committed 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this home to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Where It All Started
Founded by Danny Thomas, St. Jude is a world leader in understanding, treating, and defeating childhood cancer along with other life-threatening diseases. With its mission, “to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment”, their vision (as was Danny’s) was “no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family’s ability to pay.”
Currently treating over 100 diseases, the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital headquartered in Memphis, TN, fights to cure everything from Brain Tumors to Histiocytosis. Danny started raising money for his vision in the early 1950’s and formed American Lebanese Syrian Associated Charities (ALSAC) with the sole purpose of raising funds for the support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The First in Utah!
Oakwood Homes, having already helped raise over $16.6 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, is continuing this tradition with the St. Jude Dream Home Showplace. This incredible brand-new home will be over 3,700 square feet with 6 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms.
