New Community to Open in American Fork

May 12th, 2015

Oakwood Homes of Utah, a subsidiary of Denver-based Oakwood Homes, closed on the purchase of property at South Point in American Fork – located at 740 East 400 South.

South Point, Oakwood’s newest community in American Fork, will include 148 single-family home sites. The community will feature two- and three-story single-family homes starting in the low $200s. Home plans range from approximately 1,300 square feet to 2,200 square feet including choices such as flex and smart spaces to personalize the home to the home buyer’s needs.

Later this year, Oakwood Homes will be starting construction on five new model homes for the public to tour. Model homes are expected to open in early 2016. Additionally, this fall, prospective homebuyers can join a South Point VIP list for notifications on special pricing, early home site selection, VIP events, Grand Openings and the like.

South Point will be the first development to break ground in American Fork’s “planned community” zone. “The zone allowed Oakwood to design a walk-able, neighborhood-centered community while leveraging all of the natural amenities American Fork has to offer. We’re thrilled to be able to open a new community in an otherwise mature area within Utah County,” said James Doolin, Vice President of Land for Oakwood Homes’ Utah division.

In the meantime, prospective homebuyers can visit the Oakwood Homes New Home Center, located just south of Fashion Place Mall in Murray. At the New Home Center, homebuyers can choose from an array of flooring, tile, cabinetry, interior finishes, wood trims, kitchen styles, bathroom features and more. The New Home Center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday by appointment.

Oakwood Homes is headquartered in Denver, CO, and operates in Colorado and Utah. Oakwood Homes is the largest privately owned homebuilder in Colorado, and offers homes in more than 25 communities along Utah’s Wasatch Front. For more information, visit OakwoodHomesUtah.com.
