Oakwood Stops Sales in Nebraska

April 30th, 2015

Denver-based Oakwood Homes has experienced phenomenal growth in Colorado and Utah in the last year, so the company has decided to turn its focus on the markets that make the most sense for its business model.

For that reason, Oakwood has made the difficult decision to leave the Omaha, Nebraska, market and allocate those resources to its Colorado and Utah markets. The company is closing its Omaha sales office, effective April 21, and putting its model homes on the market. Oakwood is seeking buyers for its remaining lots there.

All of Oakwood’s sales associates in Omaha were offered the opportunity to relocate to Denver for open positions here, and Oakwood will pay their relocation expenses.

Oakwood will continue building the 25 homes it is building now, to the highest Oakwood standards. Oakwood also will have local warranty representatives in Omaha to help those who have purchased Oakwood Homes with any warranty issues.

Oakwood has home closings scheduled in Omaha through October, so the company will have a small team of associates there through the end of October.
